What is a Feed? What is RSS? In1 For Dummies
A "feed" is Web content (data) that is stored in a standardized format, so that the content can be shared (A.K.A syndicated) with other sites. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is the most popular of the standardized formats. Feeds are useful for sharing content that is frequently updated such as news stories or blog postings.  Feeds contained standardized fields such as "Title", "Subject", "Description" and "Date" so that the content can be sorted, categorized and classified according to any of these fields.

What is a Blog? In1 For Dummies
What is a Blog?

A blog (short for web log) is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual and are part of a wider network of social media. Blog entries can be syndicated (shared) using feeds (RSS, Atom, etc..).  A feed is the blog's content in a standardized format that can be read and shared externally.
