Design flexibility is a key benefit of In1 based sites. The design portions are changed via standard HTML includes that are used to create a site template around the dynamic content areas. Adminstrators can dynamically arrange and rearrange informational elements on a page. This means virtually any look-and-feel can be integrated with the portal's functional layer. Any Flash, DHTML, and client side scripting can be added to the portal's header and footer template.
The layout of the site is controlled by several include pages (SSI) that create the site template that surround the content and functional portions of the site. Several options are provided in terms of positioning of these pages. Most of the code in these pages is HTML, and can be directly edited in the ACP. DHTML, Flash movies and other HTTP-based client code can be added to these pages with little or no programming knowledge. The site's menu structure is automatically generated by the categories defined by the administrator. The hierarchy of categories can be customized to logically match content and function. Menus can be positioned horizontally or vertically ay the top, bottom or left side of the page.
